After two starts by veteran backup quarterback Gus Frerotte, starting quarterback Marc Bulger will be back in the starting lineup
on Sunday against Seattle.
Bulger suffered two broken ribs in the Rams week
two loss against the San
Francisco 49ers and played two more weeks with the injury
before being replaced.
Frerotte got the offense going in his first start against
Arizona but
could not lead the banged up Rams to a victory. Frerotte was 46 for 85 for 499 yards,
three touchdowns and eight interceptions.
Bulger returns with rather pedestrian numbers, 74 for 133 for 765 yards,
two touchdowns and four interceptions.
Bulger threw only eight interceptions all of 2006.
Head Coach Scott Linehan said that Bulger’s injury is not healed
completely, but is much improved.
He also stated that Bulger was able to do much more in practice last week
and with a few more days of rest he should be ready to resume the starting
role.
